It gives me an immense pleasure to welcome you to Vidhya Aarjan School’s Website. We have tried to create an online resource that provides all relevant information about the School, and I hope that as you peruse through the contents of this website, you will get a sense of the rich flavour of life at our school.
Vidhya Aarjan School is a reputed ‘A’ graded secondary school. It’s a school with a difference, established in the year 1991 AD by a team of dedicated professors, teachers and professionals. It is located at Baba Chowk, Mulpani, Kathmandu.
Vidya Aarjan School’s primary academic goals are:
- to encourage sound scholarship, independent thinking, and discriminating judgment;
- to teach analytical skills, including how to examine and evaluate large bodies of data;
- to teach students how to deal with concepts;
- to support and foster free inquiry.
Students are taught and guided in all aspects of the Academy educational program by caring and dedicated faculty and staff. The average class size is 25. More than 80% of the faculty have good degrees.
Our approach to teaching, to student leadership, to community service, and to the many other aspects of school life reflects our hope that we will model and instill in students our most deeply held values of kindness, empathy, creativity, inclusion, justice, life-long learning, and connection to the natural world. We believe that arts education is vital to becoming a global citizen in a world where future jobs have not yet been fully imagined, and we believe our students graduate from the School knowing how to think; how to understand their own worldview and those of others; how to find and then evaluate information; how to construct and analyze an argument; and how to communicate clearly, authentically, and diplomatically.
We also believe that students leave our school with an internalized sense of the Academy’s mission — that it is their privilege and responsibility to serve country and community with wisdom, conviction, and compassion.
